RHA has begun delivering hand sanitizer for our facilities.

A few weeks ago, we noticed an increase in demand of hand sanitizer due to COVID-19. RHA began working with local distilleries to see if they could create hand sanitizer for our facilities. In the span of two days, we reached 3,000 miles, 266 gallons, and 59 healthcare facilities with our hand sanitizer.

We would like to thank the following for helping make this idea come true:

- Ryan Weegman from Red Rock Tiling & Excavating, and Andy Westrom from Lee Well Drilling for providing the Hydrogen Peroxide for our hand sanitizer

- Kemps for providing the gallons jugs for the hand sanitizer.

- Brock Berglund, from Ida Graves Distillery for helping create and produce hand sanitizer for our hospitals

- Tom Ficker, from Office Depot for helping supply labels and cartons for the hand sanitizer.

-Adam Graf from Copper Trail Brewing Company in Alexandria, MN for helping create hand sanitizer for our hospitals

-Tyler from Red Pine Distillery in Grand Forks. On the right are Joel and Jarek from Proof Artisan Distillers in Fargo.

The Rural Health Alliance (RHA) and Converdia Health Staffing announced a partnership that will positively impact healthcare staffing in the Midwest. The RHA purchased a 40% stake in Converdia on October 1, 2019.  Converdia Health Staffing is a PRN/Per Diem, short-term/long-term, direct placement and temporary-to-permanent healthcare staffing company with headquarters in Fargo-Moorhead.

“The relationship between RHA and Converdia is a win-win”, Brian Rahman, the founder and President of Converdia Health Staffing stated.  “If a facility has a need, RHA and Converdia will work together to fulfill it.”

Converdia Health Staffing concentrates on a three-pronged recruitment approach.  The focus is nursing, allied staff and physicians.  Recruitment for nursing includes CNA, LPN and RN’s.  The recruitment of allied staff will include laboratory, radiology, therapies and dietary staff.  Physician recruitment includes Advanced Practice Physicians, locum tenens, and emergency room coverage.  The company’s current clientele includes long-term care facilities, acute care hospitals and their emergency rooms and surgery centers. Converdia’s mission is to “connect quality healthcare professionals with opportunities to make a positive impact on communities in need.”

Erik Malchow, president of RHA stated, “This partnership is a perfect fit for both parties.”  The aim is to work together to assist healthcare facilities to meet the staffing demands of rural communities in need.  Both Converdia and RHA will utilize flexibility and local relationships to help serve healthcare facilities in recruitment and to partner with them to fill gaps in coverage.  Recruitment within the local area enables both the healthcare facility and recruiting partner to help provide quality care in an economical way.

Brian Rahman, founder and president of Converdia Health Staffing, mentioned the vision of the company began 30 years ago when Rahman and various rural healthcare CEO’s experienced staffing needs within rural healthcare facilities. The partnership between RHA and Converdia opens an opportunity within the group to help solve recruitment and staffing issues.

For more information on Converdia Health Staffing, visit their website at www.converdiahealth.com or call Brian Rahman at 701-367-8272.
