Vanderbilt

RHA partnered with Vanderbilt Supply Chain System Collaborative in 2015 to provide deep contractual discounts to RHA members.  Members have access to Vanderbilt's contract portfolio on a contract by contract basis. 

VSCSC allows a focused and joint approach to lowering overall supply, pharmaceutical, and purchased service expense through contracting to promote lower health costs and high quality care within our communities.  Vanderbilt drives value by reducing costs through aggregation of volumes on physician preference items or commodity items where the local market can drive commitment.

PAC Meetings
The Rural Health Alliance has always been and continues to be committed to being a member driven program, driving not only cost savings but also networking opportunities. There are a number of Advisory Committees in place to help service the RHA membership. These Purchase Advisory Committees (PAC), comprised of committed RHA members, currently help direct the program in the areas Dietary, Laboratory, Materials Management, Pharmacy and Radiology. All primary members are invited to participate in the committee process and you are encouraged to contact RHA if you have any questions!
Purchasing Power

Rural Health Alliance has some of the industry’s largest discounts in place today through National, Regional, and Local Contracts. Our contracting portfolio has been proven to deliver as much as 25% savings on high-volume commodity products through our Purchasing Events.

Bulk Buy/Group Buy

Group Buy purchasing events will deliver substantial cost savings on capital expenditures above and beyond our standard contract portfolio. The Group Buy and Bulk Buy purchasing events aggregate a large quality of similar, medical device items into a single sourcing event.

Group Buys are hosted four events per year/quarterly planned savings.


Bulk Buy is a special one time negotiated price enhancement that is beneficial to our customers.

Quote Review:  

  • Identifies additional savings where a supplier quotes a price higher than our contracted rate; Identifies incorrect terms and conditions
  • Review allows members to determine if they want to move forward with cutting a PO or ask for amendments.
