Vizient® has signed an agreement to acquire the health care group purchasing organization (GPO) Intalere, which serves acute and non-acute member providers nationwide and represents approximately $6 billion in annual supply purchases, from its parent company, Intermountain Healthcare.
This acquisition builds on the combined strengths of Vizient and Intalere and it advances our ability to meet the growing needs of the increasingly diverse range of members and customers we serve. This transaction delivers great scale and market presence for members by leveraging investments across a larger member/customer base, increasing efficiency, enriching our competitive capabilities and expanding access to leading practices, networking and knowledge-sharing. Moreover, the expanded scope and scale of data will further enrich our insights for the benefit of the broader membership.
